Privacy policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
Support Chops ("we", "us") makes tools for customer support teams, including Dispute. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
When your organization installs Dispute, we process:
- People: names, email addresses, Slack and helpdesk user IDs, and time zones of your team members, so we can match agents to their ratings and message the right person.
- Ratings and tickets: rating and ticket IDs, dates, ticket status, group, and the times needed to work out deadlines. We read ticket subjects and customer comments from your helpdesk to show them in Slack, but we never store ticket conversations or customer comments.
- Disputes: the reason an agent chooses, their explanation, the reviewer's decision and comment, and when each happened.
- Settings: your reviewers, tags, timing preferences and excluded groups.
- Messages you send us: questions, problem reports and ideas sent from the app or by email, with your name, email and workspace so we can reply.
- Billing: if you subscribe, our payment processor handles your card details. We never see or store full card numbers.
How we use it
Only to provide Dispute: sending ratings and reminders, routing disputes to reviewers, recording decisions on the ticket (a tag and an internal note), showing your team's settings and numbers, answering support requests, and billing. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data or your helpdesk's data to train AI models.
What we write to your helpdesk
When a reviewer decides a dispute, Dispute adds your chosen tag and an internal note to that ticket. It doesn't change anything else.
Who processes it
We use a small number of trusted providers, each only for its part of the service:
- Slack and your helpdesk, which you connect, to read ratings and send messages.
- Supabase, our database.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the app.
- Resend, which delivers support emails to us.
- Stripe, which processes payments.
We share data with no one else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you use Dispute. If you uninstall it or cancel, we delete your workspace's data within 30 days. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your Slack and helpdesk accounts uses the narrowest permissions Dispute needs, and access keys are kept on our servers, never in browsers. Access to our systems is limited and protected with two-factor authentication.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or ask any question about this policy, by emailing hello@supportchops.com. Admins can remove Dispute from Slack or disconnect the helpdesk at any time.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update this page and tell admins before the change takes effect.
